A player proves an email or phone number against the roster row, or a venue manager approves it. Nobody claims the league champion's record by typing a name.
Pub leagues
Your league, under your name, with none of the admin.
The buying trigger for a league is never the blind timer. It is registrations over Facebook, rankings in a spreadsheet and results typed in at midnight. Felt takes the admin, keeps your points rule, and gives every player one page they can claim.
Results
Results in a minute. Standings on the spot.
Run the night however you run it. At the end, type the finishing order with type-ahead against the roster, add a new player inline, attach a photo of the sheet if you like, and save. Points come from your scoring rule; standings recompute; every player's page updates.
A correction the next morning is a new result on the record, not an edit. The standings page can say "corrected 09:14 by Dave" because nothing was overwritten. And when you are ready, run the night live on the iPad and never type a result again.

Standings
Standings that explain themselves.
League disputes are almost always about tie-breaks. Felt records which criterion broke each tie and shows it, so "third on points, ahead on best finish" is on the page rather than in an argument at the bar.
- Your points rule, once, everywhere. A brand-owned rule pushed to every venue: a table by place and field size, or a formula. Points are stored with the version of the rule that produced them, so improving the rule never rewrites last season.
- Counting policies. All events, best N, drop the lowest N, attendance bonuses. Standings are recomputed on demand, because a late result changes which earlier results count.
- Regional and national pathways. Venue season, regional final, national final, with qualification by places, points or wildcard. Points travel across venues; prize money never does.
- On the wall tonight. "If Priya wins she goes top" as a live projection on the pub's screen during the game.

Players
One profile per player. Every venue, every league.
Today a player signs up again at every pub. On Felt a player claims one page and their history follows them across every venue in your league, and every other public league on the platform.
The desk asks, the player accepts.
A player says "@alan" at the desk; the desk types it; a request lands on the player's page. A typo costs a decline, never a seat. An organiser alone can never attach an account to a row.
Duplicates tidy themselves.
Eighty thousand per-venue sign-ups become one row per person when players say "yes, that's me" to the matches Felt proposes. Nothing is merged on a guess and nothing historical is rewritten.

Your brand
Your league, on your domain.
A brand sits above your venues: name, logo, palette, sponsor assets. Standings, venues, the calendar and results are served under your own domain with certificates handled for you. Sponsor and promo slides rotate on every venue's screen during the break, which is how a landlord justifies the TV.
- Roles at every level. Brand admins see every venue; venue managers see theirs and sign up on their own with a passkey; floor staff run a clock and cannot touch points.
- Embeddable tables and a public API, so the standings can live on your existing site too.
- One app, your colours. Felt on the iPad and Felt Floor take your branding after login, so there is nothing separate to install.
Switching
No migration project.
Bring your players and your history in from whatever you use today. The import runs as a dry run first: what is new, what matched, what is ambiguous. You apply it when you are happy and can reverse it as a batch. History comes in as recorded nights with their original dates, so standings are intact from day one.
Run a night on Felt and export it in the format you use today for as long as you like. Nobody switches a thousand venues in a weekend. And a full export is always yours, no negotiation.
